‎"Freel said in 2007 after a particularly brutal collision with teammate Norris Hopper that he had " probably nine or 10 " concussions in his life."

There you have it folks, another great talent that suffered from the mental wears of an injury that can literally warp the way you think on a day to day basis. When the core of your thoughts is damaged, it obviously leads to madness and a sorrowful life.

Concussions should be like strikes in baseball, 3 and your out of the game for good. Players should be forced or at least have the option to take a year off of play, without the threat of losing their contract when they have one. The NFL is taking some steps to improve their policy's to help protect the players from themselves, but there is a lot more work that needs to be done in all sports.

Shockingly 6 NFL players have committed suicide in 2 years. Chris Benoit, a popular wrestler killed his entire family and himself and when the DR's examined his brain they said he had, "shocking brain damage". They all died from injury's they sustained, living their dreams, providing for their family's and entertaining us the fans. We need joint efforts from Sports Organizations and Medical Professions to lead in some serious change.

View of the Republican Race, from a Democratics Place.

I never grew up thinking I am a Democrat or Republican but, looking at the presidential candidates over the years, I found myself always leaning towards the Democratic side. So while I can consider myself a Democrat because of this, I recognize the fact that we can't always have a Democrat in office. Looking at the current front runners on the Republican side, I really feel like I need to urge Republicans to find better candidates. Sure a better candidate would mean Obama might not win, but if someone has a chance to run our country you have to do better.

Gingrich and Romney both seem like deplorable men. Gingrich seems lost in a cloud confusion and old man angst, where Romney's mega rich status seems to be surrounded by awful business practices leading me to be worried how he might wield a presidential appointment for financial gains.

I don't know much about Santorum but, I do like Ron Paul, even though he is laughable at times, he does seem like an honest person, giving opinions that seem placed in honest convictions not, political motivated embellishments. His views may be radical but, I would rather have an honest radical in office than a richey, wanting to help others get richer and a man who has divorced 3 times.

This isn't an attack on Republicans, I just sincerely want a strong candidate from both partys competing to run our Nation.
